RSPB Sherwood Forest​

Working in a site of scientific interest in an area of conservation, with one of the highest protected status in the UK. Sherwood Forest hosts the largest collection of ancient Oak trees in Western Europe. Constructional Timber (Manufacturers) Limited alongside Robert Woodhead Construction constructed the new and exciting RSPB Visitor Centre and gateway into Sherwood Forest.

The design of this Timber Structure needed to reflect and complement its surroundings, ensuring that any impact on the Forest was minimised, so careful consideration of how work was undertaken and what materials were used was vital in helping the client deliver a sustainable building.

Being responsible for the full design of the structural frame, Constructional Timber were pivotal in delivering a timber rather than steel building that can be used by all ages to help educate, inspire and showcase the best of the British countryside.
